Created in 2016 by Alexia Nokovitch,
AN-NEE is a young French brand of accessories taking
a fresh look on the traditional silk scarf.
The designer rethinks the dimensions, the patterns,
the way we wear it ...
Each collection tells a story lulled by an intimate
reflection on our relationship to Time.
DISCOVER OUR UNIVERSE, OUR STORY
The scarves AN-NEE jostle the classic compositions,
they are paintings of a new kind.
Alexia does not fear the emptiness like a calligrapher mastering the art of fullness and looseness.
All drawings are hand-made, with felt or pen, a
demanding creative process which knows the value of time.
Each collection is built around 3 color ranges
for vibrant shades or organic colors, in order to assert
a strong chromatic bias.
Sensitive to elsewhere, Alexia enriches her palette
according to her travels and contemplations.
Her pink sunset is reminiscent of a Japanese landscape.
The ketchup red evokes the «diners» of New York.
At AN-NEE, color is part of the story, it animates the
illustrations to build the narration.
In silk twill, wool and silk, or cotton, all scarves
are printed in France, in two factories labeled
"Living Heritage Company"of France for the excellence
of their savoir-faire.
The manufacturing is also made in France, in small sewing studios specialized in silk pieces.
We can not escape time.
The philosophy of AN-NEE feeds on this absolute.
Throughout her collections, Alexia sets the metaphor of time,
which makes the real intelligible and gives the measure of
everything. Often cause for concern, it is here inspiring.
Watch it pass, fear it, love it and hate it.
Delay it, take it. Get it. Kill it.
(Lose it) catch it up.
After a fashion design degree from LISAA in Paris and
visual communication studies at ECV, Alexia Nokovitch cuts her
teeth as an intern in big houses.
She realizes her first textile prints at Jean-Charles De
Castelbajac, before collaborating at Hermès with the
whole team of the Silk Artistic Direction.
With these experiences, Alexia creates AN-NEE in 2016
and fits today into the landscape of young designer
AN-NEE is now distributed at Printemps in Paris and at
around 50 points of sale in France and abroad.
